I’m Lena, doula and photographer! But there is much more to me besides that. I am a mom to three lovely little ladies, wife, dog mum, licensed teacher, and volunteer. Born and raised in Germany, multiple international moves around the world have taught me how to bloom where I am planted, growing from the challenges that come with starting over in a new location —several times. That included figuring out where to give birth in the US in 2019, when our second daughter was due. I’ve been in your shoes, trying to navigate a foreign to me health care system and I was lucky enough to be introduced to doulas then, helping with it all. We decided to deliver at a birthing center and this is where the seed was planted of wanting to become a doula. With my last birth I have completed the trifecta of birth: from hospital to birthing center to home birth. Each birth was empowering in its own way and I am beyond thankful to support other women during this transformative adventure named birth.
I am trained through “The Beauty in Birth” for birth photography and certified as a doula through DONA, the most reputable organization certifying doulas there is. I am also a certified childbirth educator through BABE.
